Dispute over Owens Lake Dust finally settled

New dust measures would be taken at Owens Lake by DWP officials. The announcement for the same was finally made on Friday, bringing an end to years of litigation between the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and a California air quality agency. According to officials, tilling at the lake will soon begin with the help of DWP, thereby saving both water and money of taxpayers.

A lawsuit was previously field by the DWP against the Great Basin Air Control District, which looks into air quality in the Owens Valley.
