Disabled Boy Walks for First Time after Life-Changing Surgery

A surgery and rehabilitation at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital has made it possible for a six-year-old boy from Palestine to stand and walk on his feet for the first time since he was born. Young Hadi Abukhadra was born with a disease called arthrogryposis. He is from the Tulkarem refugee camp in the West Bank of Palestine and was living with stuck joints and orthopedic deformities. The disease bent his knees in the wrong way with his feet faced upside down.
