Dignity Health Agrees To Resolve Overcharging Lawsuit with $37 Million Pay-Back

It has been reported that Dignity Health, a San Francisco-based hospital chain, has agreed to pay back $37 million to resolve the overbilling allegations. Dignity Health's Northern Californian hospital was accused of overbilling the Federal Insurance program.

The charges include 12 hospitals that fall under the San Francisco-based health system such as Mercy General, Mercy San Juan and many others. It was found that some of these hospitals were sued for overcharging for simply invasive spinal cord compression operations.
