As the owner of a 2014 Volkswagen diesel Jetta Sportwagen, I am plenty angry about the car giant’s pollution scam. I’m just not sure precisely where to focus all that anger, which seems likely to increase as this scandal plays out.
It was refreshing to see Volkswagen Group’s chief executive, Martin Winterkorn, take responsibility and quit his job last week. Even if he did hedge with “I am not aware of any wrong doing on my part” in his farewell statement. One must heed the lawyers, I suppose.
