A report issued by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday stated that more than 29 million people in the United States have diabetes. Surprisingly one out of every four diabetic person is not even aware about his condition. The number is almost 12 percent higher compared to 2010 data. This increase has been observed in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
The reason stated for the rise is primarily obesity epidemic, especially in the case of type 2 diabetes.
