Delaying anti-HIV therapy reduces the chance of normalizing the immune system, researchers reported.

Among HIV patients who started antiretroviral therapy within a year of infection, 38.4% saw their immune system reach normal levels of CD4-positive T cells, according to Sunil Ahuja, MD, of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, and colleagues.
