Not open for debate. The first of three debates between presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton snared a combined 84 million viewers across broadcast and cable networks, a new record besting the sole 1980 matchup between President Carter and Ronald Reagan (80.6 million).

Opening salvos. The premiere of HBO's Westworld averaged 2 million same-day viewers Sunday, its biggest debut since Ballers. Other Sunday starts on premium cable: Showtime's Shameless (1.2 million, its weakest opener); Starz's Ash vs. Evil Dead (436,000) and Blunt Talk (160,000).
