As NASA’s Dawn spacecraft approaches Ceres, the planet is getting clearer and Dawn finally took high resolution images of the dwarf planet. The new images were taken from a distance of 21,000 miles or 33,000 km. The spacecraft will stay at the said distance until May 9. On May 10, the spacecraft will attempt to move closer.
According to National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Ceres has an average diameter is about 590 miles or 950 km. it is the largest rock body between Mars and Jupiter.
