David Goyer on ‘Constantine’ and the Comics Boom on TV

Just in time for Halloween comes Friday night’s premiere of “Constantine” on NBC, the most supernatural of the many comic-book adaptations now hitting television. The series about the maverick exorcist and demon fighter John Constantine is based on DC/Vertigo’s long-running series of “Hellblazer” comics. The show is executive produced by David S. Goyer, best known for his movie writing, including on Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight film trilogy, “Man of Steel,” and the coming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Goyer, who also has a long history of writing comics, is no stranger to television.
