David Fincher’s adaptation of Gone Girl will play for its first large audience tonight, but most critics have already seen it. So far, the film is earning near unanimous praise, although there are a few with some criticism.

Gone Girl is based on the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn, who was surprisingly allowed to adapt her own novel to the screen.
