David Chase opens up about ‘Sopranos’ final scene

Nearly eight years later, "Sopranos" creator David Chase is still insisting the show's controversial ending wasn't a heartless hit job on the best show in TV history.

Chase refused to sing about whether the sudden cut-to-black represented Tony's lights going out after getting whacked — a popular fan theory — saying only that the moment was all about the tension and symbolism of the Journey tune "Don't Stop Believing."
