DARPA shares more information about ALASA Program for cheap satellite launches

On Thursday, DARPA released a video demonstrating how its ALASA (Airborne Launch Assist Space Access) program can attach a satellite to the belly of a jet fighter and send it into low earth orbit within 24 hours of request.

The program is meant for smaller satellites, which are about 100 pounds or less. These satellites could be sent into space and would send back signal in a day.
