Curiosity reveals evidence of acidic water on Red Planet

The investigation of Mount Sharp by NASA’s Curiosity Rover on the red planet has revealed that there might be acidic water on Mars in the ancient past. By employing unique drilling method, the rover acquired a sample from the rock dubbed Mojave 2.

It took two attempts by the rover to gather the sample successfully as Curiosity broke the sample while trying to get specimens from Mojave 2. As a result, it was no longer possible to convey it to the rovers’ scientific tools.
