Good news from Mars: Rover Curiosity has regained use of its robotic arm after an electrical glitch forced mission scientists to suspend drilling work at the base of Mount Sharp.

On Feb. 27, while using the percussion action in its arm-mounted drill to shake rock powder from the drill to the sample processing device, an abnormal electrical current was detected and Curiosity automatically put itself into safe mode to avoid any potentially crippling damage.
