It would be hard to foul up the story of Alan Turing, and thankfully The Imitation Game doesn’t.

Turing’s life was about secrets, as is the movie: his work cracking the Nazi’s Enigma code during World War II, his identity as a closeted gay man at a time when such things were illegal in England, and the shadows he lived in as a war hero who couldn’t tell anyone what he did during the war.
