Cuba frees Canadian businessman Tokmakjian after three years in jail

HAVANA (Reuters) - Cuba has freed Canadian businessman Cy Tokmakjian, who arrived in Canada on Saturday after serving more than three years in jail on a 15-year sentence for bribery and other economic charges.

"Cy returns home in good health, fantastic sprits, and is looking forward to spending time with his family which includes three loving children and seven excited grandchildren," said Barry Papazian, legal counsel to the family and the Tokmakjian Group of Companies.
