CT Scan as good as Stress Test in diagnosing Heart Problems

A new study done by American researchers has found that coronary artery disease (CAD) patients who underwent coronary computed tomographic angiography (CTA) are unlikely to have better clinical outcomes than the patients who opted for functional testing.

The findings were reported at a late-breaking clinical trial session at the American College of Cardiology meeting, by author Pamela Douglas, MD, a cardiologist at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. They were also published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
