ZAGREB, Croatia – Croatia's Supreme Court has overturned a graft verdict against former Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and ordered a retrial, citing unspecified violations of the right to a fair trial.
The court said in a statement Thursday it had set bail at 1.6 million euros ($1.78 million) for Sanader's release from detention, on condition he reports to authorities once a week and surrenders his passport.
