Crab season in California delayed as health officials warn of seafood toxins

Crab season is supposed to start soon — but if you're in California, you'll have to wait a little longer. Those delicious crab legs could be poisonous.

The California Fish and Game Commission voted Thursday to delay opening of the crab-fishing season. The reason? An algae bloom that has covered crabs in a toxin that could be fatal if consumed.
