Courts trying to curb soaring national heroin problem

Courts across the United States in an attempt to fight against increase in heroin overdoses are turning to a drug named Vivitrol, which is an opiate-blocker that blocks the effects of heroin on the brain.

According to a report, deaths caused by heroin overdoses increased to 45 percent between 2006 to 2010, and 680 people died from overdoses in Ohio in the year 2012, up 60 percent from 2011.
