Eighteen years ago today, on March 9, 1996, The Notorious B.I.G.’s life was cut short in a fatal shooting in Los Angeles. Since then, March 9 has become both a day of mourning Biggie’s death and celebrating Big Poppa’s life. On Monday, one New York restaurant paid tribute to the MC in a special way.
Chef Chris Jaeckle of Manhattan’s All’onda and Dale Talde of Talde’s teamed up to create a six-course meal made up of food that Biggie referenced in his lyrics, according to The New York Post. The meal was served at All’onda all day and it featured some creative takes on Frank White’s rhymes.
