Country stars Ty Herndon and Billy Gilman both came out as gay on Thursday. Herndon, 52, admitted to "Entertainment Tonight" he had been married to two women to protect his career and had been afraid to speak out "in an genre and industry that is ashamed of me for being me." The "What Mattered Most" singer revealed he's "out, proud and happy" in a relationship with a man for the past five years, inspiring 26-year-old Gilman to open up about his sexuality as well.
