Counseling seen as solution for overweight Americans with heart risks

According to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, overweight people with at least one risk factor for heart disease should get behavioral counseling to support a healthy diet and regular physical activity to help prevent cardiovascular disease.

The Mayo Clinic notes that heart disease refers to a variety of conditions that impact your heart, including blood vessel disease, heart rhythm problems and heart defects, among others. Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S.
