Costco has finally ended its exclusive deal with American Express and will accept Visa cards at its stores. The changes will be applicable at Costco stores starting Monday. Issaquah-based retailer will offer Costco-branded Visa credit cards to customers in future. Costco has signed a long term partnership with Citigroup ending its 16-year exclusive agreement with American Express.
Costco’s switch from American Express to Visa will go live on June 20. The changes will also support Visa cards issued by other banks. Costco customers using Chase Freedom cards will get cash back for their purchases at Costco.
