Apache Corp., one of the country's largest independent oil and gas producers, reported on Thursday that it, too, lost money because of low oil prices, but less than it did last year.
Apache posted second-quarter losses of $244 million, or 65 cents a share, down from an $860 million loss during the same period last year.
