The findings of study into compact galaxies have turned up something surprising: isolated compact ellipticals. Amid their study, scientists realized that there were numerous compact galaxies that weren’t situated close to any other galaxy, making them wonder why they were out in space alone. Cosmologists have officially checked eleven different galaxies of this type. Most galaxies are within a cluster, but these have all the earmarks of being fleeing from home, but they have in fact been pushed.

Cosmologists Dr. Igor Chilingarian of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and co-author Dr. Ivan Zolotukhin from Moscow State University, reported that they have been studying compact ellipticals, which is a new member within the class of galaxies.
