Coral reefs to experience heavy ‘bleaching’ from warming ocean waters

This is beginning to look like a bad year for coral reefs, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Warm waters in the tropical Pacific and Indian Oceans are causing bleaching in coral reefs across the globe. The agency says this is the third time for such a catastrophic event in less than a decade.
