Copper Awl, the Oldest Metal Artifact Discovered in the Middle East

The oldest metal artifact ever has been discovered in the Middle East which is a copper awl unearthed in a grave that holds the corpse of a woman.

The metal tool showed that residents in the Middle East were trading crafted metal goods around 6000 years ago which is centuries before the practice began. The awl measures 1.6 inches in length, and the tip is just 0.3 inches from side to side.
