Samaria Rice, the mother of Tamir Rice, the 12-year-old boy who was shot by a cop on Saturday and who died on Sunday, says that her son was only carrying a fake gun. Tamir Rice's father, Gregory Henderson, is asking why the rookie Cleveland police officer who shot his 12-year-old son wasn’t using a stun gun to subdue him when Tamir pulled out his BB gun from his waistband. The newly released 911 call, published by Fox 8 Cleveland on Nov. 22 shows that the cop who shot the boy was not the only person in fear of the boy -- so were other people.
As can be heard on the 911 call, a witness sitting across the park tells the dispatcher that “a guy” was sitting on a swing in the playground area outside the Cuddell Recreation Center and that he was pointing a gun at people scaring “the sh*t” out of them.
