Consuming more whole grains linked to lower heart disease mortality

Higher intake of whole grains has been associated with a lower risk of major chronic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease; however, there is little evidence in regards to whole grains and mortality.

In a new study researchers from Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and colleagues examined the association between dietary whole grain consumption and risk of mortality.
