Connecticut tribes side with state in payday loan dispute

An Oklahoma-based Indian tribe is says its tribal enterprises and sovereignty have been attacked by the state of Connecticut.

Heather Payne, spokesperson for the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Indians, said Monday the tribe's payday loan companies "do not engage in predatory lending of any kind" and is not required to follow Connecticut law.
