Connecticut Supreme Court to hear case of teen forced to undergo chemo

The Connecticut Supreme Court will hear the case Thursday of a 17-year-old cancer patient and her mother, who are locked in a legal battle with the state government over the teen’s right to refuse chemotherapy.

The teen, who is identified in court documents as “Cassandra C.,” but was identified by police as Cassandra Callender in a November missing persons report, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in September.
