WHO Confirms Mass Ebola Vaccination Program Unlikely Before August

World Health Organization officials have confirmed that should widespread introduction of an Ebola vaccine be approved, it will not happen any earlier than August. Speaking earlier today, the organization stated that the decision would be made in accordance with both the direction the epidemic takes and the results of trials still underway both on the ground and in international laboratories.

Final-stage clinical trials of vaccines currently in experimental forms are to be carried out in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guineas – the countries worst affected by the Ebola outbreak.
