‘Complete’ mammoth skeleton unearthed

Part of a mammoth skull and tusks have been uncovered in Idaho – and experts say the entire skeleton might be buried there.

The skeleton was spotted earlier this month by a fossil hunter working as a volunteer for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation near a reservoir in southeastern Idaho, and was partially excavated by students and instructors at nearby Idaho State University.
