Colorado River Reaches Gulf of California First Time in 16 Years

For the first time in 16 years, the Colorado River has reached out to the Gulf of California. The Colorado River Delta Legacy Program of the Sonoran Institute has provided significant help to make it possible last week. Also, a pilot channel, 'pulse flow' and high-tide breach of the ocean should be credited for the achievement.

The merger happened after members of organization dug a pilot channel in order to establish a connection between the two sources of water.
