Cold Spring Harbor Lab Collaborates With Hospital System to Obtain Human Subjects for Research

In Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, situated in the North Shore of Long Island, scientists are conducting research to arrive at the genetic origins of cancer and the drugs that would be capable of curing it. In spite of a number of breakthroughs, the lab had not been able to rope in human subjects so far. This shortcoming would now cease to exist as the lab is on the verge of entering into collaboration with North Shore-LIJ (Long Island Jewish) Health System, which is in fact a hospital system in the proximity that can come up with diverse patients to aid the study.

In order to be enrolled for clinical trials, there should be a plethora of patients.
