Climate Changes Affect Florida’s Coral Reefs

On Saturday it was reported that according to a study the climate changes are threatening the pristine coral reefs of Florida. Some of them might be damaged many years earlier than expected. The waters become warmer and warmer and this leads to coral bleaching which by 2030 can damage parts of the Dry Tortugas reef tract in regions off the middle Keys.

The newly released study was conducted by scientists from National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration. They used a computer to analyze the information about the sea temperatures around the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. These regions were already reported to be vulnerable to bleaching outbreaks...
