Cities schools encourage vaccination in light of measles concerns

Tri-Cities school districts are using education as their main weapon against Illinois' recent measles outbreak. Officials are sending out email blasts to parents and posting health department recommendations on their websites.

But district officials say there isn't much else they can do beyond recommending parents vaccinate their children. All three Tri-Cities school districts have vaccination rates about 98 percent.
