A Chula Vista woman is one of 100 finalists vying for an incredible journey to outer space that will result in a new address, namely the fourth planet from the sun, at the first permanent human settlement on Mars.

The 143 million mile trip of a lifetime, which will also be the last trip of a lifetime as it's only one-way, is expected to take place in 2024 and will include 24 future Martians chosen by the project organizers, a Dutch not-for-profit group called Mars One.
