Chronic Marijuana use causes structural and functional abnormalities in Brain: Study

A major new study conducted at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT) has revealed that long term consumption of marijuana or heavy pot smoking causes significant abnormalities in brain function and structure.

The research, conducted at the Mind Research Network on the campus of the university, claimed that chronic marijuana use lowers IQ as chronic users tend to have a smaller volume of grey matter in a part of the brain associated with decision making.
