Chinese Restaurant Owner sells Dishes Laced with Opium

A Chinese restaurant owner has been arrested and detained for 10 days for lacing dishes with opium in an attempt to keep customers coming back, according to BBC News reports.

The owner of the Yan'an noodle shop called Zhang, disclosed that he bought 4.4 pounds of poppy buds in August. The buds consists the opium poppy seeds, from which the addictive narcotic opium is prepared.
