I can't imagine what a VW that has had cost-cutting done on it would be like. Leaf springs and solid axles? They are unreliable now, how bad will they be if "value engineered"?!Exactly the wrong moves.

600,000 emps worldwide, 300,000 in Germany? Doesn't GM have about 200,000 worldwide? VW seems like crazy high numbers. I see nothing good happening for VW in the US for years to come.

What I don't understand is why it has to be crushing state or federal regs or we become India or China? Seems a bit dramatic to me.

As a Porsche owner, I find that both distressing and funny.

This was organized by the Paulson Institute? By Hank Paulson, the man who brought us the 2008 crash? Time to be scared again. Say no to the TPP. Say no to Hank. He'll sell us out again.

How nice. The Chinese president is in the state of Washington with some of the riches men in America discussing business that can affect the U.S. economy and jobs while President Obama is with Pope Francis taking photo op. I see where Obama's priority lies.
