China, US to Boost Cooperation on Repatriating Fugitives

China and the U.S. are boosting cooperation in sending home suspected criminals amid a Chinese drive to ferret out corrupt officials who have fled abroad.

The Department of Homeland Security says the sides agreed to streamline the process for identifying and returning fugitives and illegal immigrants. That came during U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson's visit to Beijing last week.
