China’s “Jade Rabbit” Sheds Light on Dark Side of the Moon

China’s moon rover expedition may be seen as a failure by some, but Chinese analysts recently published spectacular results based on data gathered by Yutu, revealing some unexpected facts about the moon.

The Yutu moon rover (known in English as Jade Rabbit) stopped moving after just 114 meters from its landing. Technical difficulties rendered the rover unsuitable for further use, and thus the only data it sent back to Earth were gathered during the hundred meters walk it took before ”dying”.
