Children eat more Fruits, Vegetables if Recess Comes before Lunch

According to a new study conducted by researchers from Brigham Young University in Provo, American children choose to eat leafy greens and fruits when school recess happens before lunch, rather than after.

An associate professor in the Department of Economics at Brigham Young University in Provo and lead author of the study, Joe Price, said, “Recess is a pretty big deal to kids. If you're going to make a kid choose between going to recess and eating their veggies, recess is going to win”.
