Champion lives up to name at RodeoHouston

The Woodlands' favorite cowboy was a wide-eyed rookie in 2013, happy just to compete against the top bareback riders in the world and awed by the stage his local rodeo provides at NRG Stadium.

Now he's a million-dollar man - he made $1.1 million in the largest one-day payout in rodeo history last year at The American - and coming off his first National Finals Rodeo and first top-five finish in the world standings. He's still learning to deal with the ramifications of his rapid success.
