Central African Republic's head of armed forces shot dead

BANGUI, Central African Republic – A family member says the head of Central African Republic's armed forces has been shot dead and his teenage son injured in an attack near a district police station in the capital.

Kevine Mombeka says her brother Marcel, who also served as an aide in the country's transitional government, was shot in his car on Tuesday in the PK5 neighborhood of Bangui.
