Cease-fire holds in eastern Ukraine apart from isolated incidents

The combatants in eastern Ukraine appeared to be adhering to their newly announced cease-fire agreement, although Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council and the leader of the mainly ethnic Russian separatists in the Donetsk region denounced isolated incidents.

"Today, the cease-fire accord is not being fully respected. It's too soon to talk about a total end to hostilities," Alexander Zakharchenko told reporters after accusing Kiev's forces of shelling the town of Amrosiyevka.
