CDC Says 16 Million Kids Can Buy Electronic Cigarettes

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) claims that as many as sixteen million children in the United States are legally able to buy electronic cigarettes thanks to presently loose regulation. Ten states still have yet to actually ban the sale of electronic cigarettes to minors and the congress now has to decide how to move forward on this.

“Specifically, we have concerns that the proposed rule’s February 15, 2007 grandfather date for newly deemed tobacco products will impede innovation and impose unnecessary regulatory burdens on both the FDA and regulated industries,” write the House Republicans.
