A new report by the United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) states processed and packaged foods have high amounts of salt. The leading national public health institute of the United States also pointed out that producers know they are using high levels of salt while manufacturing processed and packaged foods, however they are ignoring the fact that high consumption of salt has negative health effects.
Health experts suggest not consuming high levels of salt as it can lead to health implications such as increases in blood pressure and hypertension. Consuming large amounts of salt can also be responsible for stomach cancer, osteoporosis, obesity, and kidneys tones.
